Mireille Toulekima is an entrepreneur and Global Energy Advisor. She is the founder and director of the independent oil and gas consulting company MT Energy Resources Ltd. A Petroleum engineer by background, she has had an accomplished international career of more than 20 years in upstream oil and gas in a range of technical and management assignments in Africa, Europe, Asia, and Australia working for major oil companies such as Shell Exploration and Production International, Santos Ltd, Woodside Energy Ltd and Sasol Exploration and Production International on various oil and gas projects worldwide. Mireille is a key enabler with respect to Local Content and an expert on developing and emerging markets. She worked with oil and gas government representatives, energy council representatives, senior managers, petroleum commissions and corporate affairs representatives. Her recent Local Content work has focused on Mozambique and Ghana under the leadership of their respective governments and Petroleum authorities. Mireille is also a published author of three books. She has published two oil and gas books: “Local Content Key Enabler for Oil and Gas projects in Emerging Markets” in 2015 and “Natural Gas Strategies: the role of Emerging and Developing markets” to be released in Australia in October and one motivational book: “Stepping Into your greatness: twelve rules for building an outstanding life” in 2016.
A member of a number oil and gas organizations of which: Society of Petroleum Engineer (SPE), The Oil and Gas Council, Global Women Petroleum Club and of several women organizations worldwide, Mireille is a champion for diversity and women advancement in STEM industries. She was named 2015 Global Tech Leader as part of the Global Tech women initiative in South Africa. Mireille is part of the new wave of women who have embraced non-traditional industries, globalization, innovation and digital disruption.
