Carol Hanlon has been acknowledged for her small business achievements with local, state and national awards since 1970’s as owner/designer of her own fashion manufacturing, wholesale, retail, and export business for 20 years. Since 1994, Carol has established not-for-profit community organizations Belmont Business Enterprise Centre Inc. (BEC) and the Textile Clothing Footwear Resource Centre Western Australia Inc. (TCFWA) in 1998. Carol’s NFP projects have assisted over 26,000 small businesses across Australia and many more businesses globally. Carol delivers Women in Business workshops and online training & mentoring across Australia and in many developing countries. Awarded Best National BEC Manager twice; served as Local Government councillor; Accredited Business Facilitator; Graduate Australian Institute Company Directors; City of Perth ‘100 Champions of WA’; inducted in inaugural 2011 WA Women’s Hall of Fame; featured ‘50 Western Australian Women of Success’ for achievement in business; National Winner ‘Empowering Women in Community or Organisation in Australia’; presents Forums ‘Empowering Women in Small Business’ United Nations CSW NGO Forums, New York; recognised at APEC Philippines as a ‘Women Icons of APEC’; recognised at Women Economy Forum, India with an award ‘Iconic Women Creating a Better World for All’.
