TRAVEL & VISA

For Australian Federal Government International travel advice – please visit the Department of Home Affairs website, which is updated regularly.
All international delegates (non-Australian passport holders) may require a visa to enter Australia and attend the AusAfrica Trade Expo. Please look at the visa options and information provided on the Home Affairs website for appropriate visas and requirements.
The conference organisers can issue a Confirmation of Registration Letter to help delegates with their visa application.

The Confirmation of the Registration Letter AND a tax invoice/receipt (indicating full payment) must be submitted with the delegate’s visa application.

The Confirmation of Registration Letter will only be issued to delegates who have paid their full registration/sponsorship fees.

Please provide the following details for us to issue a Confirmation of Registration Letter:

  • Country of Passport
  • Passport Number
  • Country of Residence
  • Date of Birth
  • Last Name/Surname (as appears on passport)
  • First Name (as appears on passport)
  • Middle Name(s) (as appears on passport)
  • Company/Organisation

So that you know, the provision of a Confirmation of Registration Letter and the tax invoice/receipt does not guarantee that a visa will be granted. The onus is on the visa applicant to demonstrate that they meet all of the legislative requirements for the grant of an Australian visa.

Visa Options

Visa options for the AusAfrica Trade Expo are outlined below.

Participants, attendees and speakers that will not be working, performing or otherwise be paid (by the conference organisers) to contribute at the conference may be eligible for the following visa options:

Visa Processing Times

Visa applications are assessed on a case-by-case basis, and processing times can vary due to individual circumstances, including whether a complete application and all necessary supporting documents are provided when lodging a visa application.
Delegates are advised to lodge their visa applications at least six (6) to eight (8) weeks before their intended travel dates. Due to the high volume of visa applications received for delegates attending, the expo organisers recommend visa applications are submitted by eight (8) weeks before the conference. Further information regarding visa processing times can be found at: https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-processing-times.

The information above is provided as a guide only for you. Please get in touch with the Australian visa office closest to your current place of residence for your current visa information. The expo's organisers accept no liability for inaccurate/outdated information provided on this website. Each delegate is responsible for finding out the visa information and regulations pertinent to their country of citizenship.
